Dawson's 9th Birthday

Our summer vacation will be interrupting what would've been Dawson's birthday party this year. So instead we decided to have a smaller party with a few of his best friends. Look at the last picture of Dawson - he sure is growing up - and looking handsome!

We couldn't help setting up a couple posed shots of Jaxin after church today. He was in a great mood and looked so cute in his "painter" outfit.

Cuz Carissa Pays a Visit

Nathan and Christina came up this weekend. It was Carissa's second encounter with Jaxin and she was very good with him. We put her in the crib with him and she started gently touching his forehead, then bent down and have him a kiss.

On Saturday morning we had a nice breakfast, complete with bacon on the griddle. Carissa watched patiently while it cooked.

Fantastic Gymnastics

Dawson got invited to one of his best friends' (Somer) birthday party, which was at Mercury Gymnastics in Tiffany Springs. All the kids had a great time jumping around, swinging on ropes, always able to land in a huge pool of foam blocks.

Nice Faux-hawk!

Dawson had spirit week at school this week, which means everyday the kids have to dress according to the daily theme. Today was "rocker" day so we decided to give Dawson a faux-mohawk, otherwise known as a faux-hawk (pronounced foe-hawk). Of course Dawson can't resist posing for the camera. :)

A Snortin' Good Time

This video was taken on Feb 26th, but I couldn't resist putting it on as a preview for the next video. Jax just loves it when Mommy makes her funny noises.

We got home from a long day out running errands today and Jax was stuck in the car-seat for most of it. I think he was happy to be out. :)

Smiley Jax

We were able to capture some of Jax' playtime with Mommy on video and finally got it online. These are both from a couple of weeks ago, but enjoy!

We finally had a good snow for this Winter season, and on a weekend too! The boys got to test out their new snow gear, which rendered them somewhat immovable, but also quite warm. See the pics below:


Before playing, they shoveled the driveway; a task that they both actually volunteered for. Logan loved how deep it was and could fall face-first down into it.


They stopped for a quick pose, then it was off to their favorite new hunting spot (a nearby drainage area behind our house).


They debated for quite a while on whether it was safe to walk on or not. But Dawson couldn't resist and decided to take a chance (Dad tried it first and it was frozen very solid).


Dawson then relished in his recent accomplishment, while Logan made snow angels.


On our way back, the boys got into a quick snowball fight / wrestling match. Dawson got Logan down to the ground, but Logan threw some snow in Dawson's face, then quickly ran away.


While his big brothers were outside having fun, Jax was inside with Mommy showing her what a happy boy he was.

Definitely a Morning Person

Jaxin has been a very happy boy in the mornings recently, and will almost always give Mommy a big smile. We didn't quite catch him smiling all the way on video this morning, but got close.

Jaxin-Sitting

Dawson and Logan were helping us out by taking care of Jaxin just before bed tonight. They are both such good helpers!

We got to come home today. Jax did great on the drive there and both he and Mommy are feeling great!

World...meet Jaxin Stone

Mimi and Papa Welch brought Jaxin's big brothers by the hospital; just in time for Jaxin's first bath (view the video below).

Jaxin Stone Welch arrives! Our new bundle of joy arrived today. He was born at 4:36pm and weighed 6 lbs - 7oz (our biggest one yet), and was 19 inches long. Enjoy the pics!
